Born and raised in Denver into the family of Henry and Elizabeth Pelon, I was the youngest of three boys. The family was very active in many different Christian ministries. I graduated from South High School here in Denver, attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs Arkansas and graduated from the University of Denver. I had the honor to serve with the United States Air Force and the Colorado Air National Guard, with a tour of duty in Vietnam during the height of the conflict. I am very grateful for the God given freedoms we have that are guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America.
My wife Beth and I were married in 1971. We have one married daughter and two grand children living in Alaska so trips to the 49th state are always enjoyed. I never miss an opportunity to visit because I enjoy the outdoors, photography, fishing and we love the kids!
My broadcast career began in 1969 with KLIR and KRKS radio stations in Denver. I held on-air, programming and engineering positions that helped develop a broad background in broadcasting. I eventually became General Manager of KRKS radio until it was sold; then moved to serve as General Manager of KWBI radio. I had the wonderful experience of participated in the building of several Christian missionary radio stations. I am active in the National Religious Broadcasters Association and have served on several ministry boards. In 2002 I was invited to form the team of AM91 Radio serving as General Manager.
